How to Start Birding

and Bring more Happiness into our Lives

Starting to watch birds can be as easy as noticing our feathered friends outside your window, during walks, or going to the local park. No special equipment is needed, but you could consider binoculars, a camera, or a notepad. For me, it’s fun learning how to identify the birds that I see and hear. There are excellent smart phone apps that can identify birds from pictures or minimal information. And other apps can log the birds you’ve seen. For field guide recommendations, books about birds, birdhouses, camera equipment that I use, etc. visit the Birds Walking Down Amazon Store.
